A Vintage selectionof 10 Postcards, British Saucy Seaside Postcard from CARDTOON company, Rare and highly Collectible 1960s original comic postcard - unused
Cardtoon postcard range were available at the same time as Bamfords and McGill and are much rarer to get a hold of now outside of the Collectors circuit of the UK, and even rarer for collectors across the globe.
The design or wording used, may offend some in this modern age, but that is the nature of the 'saucy' British humour reflected in the 1960's, not 2023+.
The quality of the postcard front is quite good condition, with very little wear present even on the edges, but the rear 'writing' section side, does show some age fading and discolouration, as the paper material tends to do after 60 odd years, even with careful storage.

These Style of postcard designs date from the 1960s and reflect the relaxation of the censorship laws in the UK on seaside postcards, that were originally imposed in the 1950s as they are much more risque, explicit and touched on 'taboo' subjects, than the earlier cards from the likes of Donald McGill. The photograph shown is of the actual cards you will receive.
All my original vintage cards have been securely stored for many years and are in 'as-new condition' unused. None of them have been written on or postally used. Some of the backs show very slight uniform discolouration but this is normal and commensurate with the age of the cards due to the chemical process of the card material in the 1960's production. An ideal opportunity for a collector to boost their collection of now banned, politically incorrect British seaside saucy postcards.!
