75th Liberation Day of Guernsey 9th May 1945 Sew On Patch
Specially commisioned and limited edition embroidered sew on patches, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey on the 9th of May 1945, from the occupying German Forces at the end of World War II.
Force 135 was a fleet of miltary and naval vessels, tasked with liberating the islands and accepting the surrender of the German forces within all of the Channel Islands.
We have two separate Patches available as limited editions. One reflects the modern Guernsey flag (established in 1985, and first flown for the 40th Anniversary) with the island map and Force 135 crest, all embroidered.
The second patch honours those who served in force 135, and those islanders and families liberated by them on that day, and reflects the Force 135 Crest, besdide the map of Guernsey.
Each patch size is 10cm x 6cm
