Liberation Day Guernsey and Jersey Union Jack Bunting Fabric flags 9m
 
During the Second World War the Channel Islands were occupied by German forces, the only parts of the UK to fall to the enemy. Eventually Guernsey and Jersey were liberated and freed on 9th May 1945. one day after the rest of Europe (VE Day). The other islands were liberated soon afterwards.


This is a custom made flag bunting of 9 meter length polyester flags, depicting the Union (Jack) flag design, which was used during the liberation, as a celebration of Guernsey Liberation each 9th of May. Each flag is 13x20cm in size, evenly spaced along the full ribbon length, with a couple of extra meters ribbon at each end for tying, and consists of minimum of 20 flags. The material has been edge heat sealed to avoid fraying when used outside in mild conditions, it is colour fast, and fade resistant, and can be washed for cleaning.
 
Advisable to not leave out in wind condirions for any duration if force 5 or more, as the wind shear can be severe enough to start shredding the edges of the flags, particularly if brusing against trees, walls or any surface that speeds up wind damage abrasion.
